How this site is organised
This site is built in three layers. The hub you are on is the index. The middle layer is 6 national teams plus 2 competitions and 5 domestic leagues. The bottom layer is 7 club profiles and 7 player pages, which is where the shirts people actually search for are named.
Everything links both ways: a national team page links to its players and its confederation peers, a league page links to its clubs and its scorers, and every one of them links back up. There is a breadcrumb at the top of each page and a continue link at the bottom, so no page is a dead end.
