Jamal Musiala is a Germany footballer who plays as a attacking midfielder for Bayern Munich and has 40 senior caps.

Musiala chose Germany over England at senior level and became a first-choice attacking midfielder while still a teenager.

He plays centrally for the national team, operating between the opposition's midfield and defensive lines rather than from a wide starting position.

His role has grown with each tournament cycle, and he is now the side's main ball carrier in the final third.

Jamal Musiala wears No. 42 - an unconventional number. No. 42 is not a classic first-team number, which is exactly why it stands out on a team sheet. Players who take it tend to have earned the right to choose for themselves.

He wears it at Bayern Munich and for Germany as an attacking midfielder. 40 caps and 9 international goals on his record so far, on a senior debut in 2021. Numbers do not score goals, but they do tell you what a team expects from the player wearing one.

Jamal Musiala is listed as an attacking midfielder and carries No. 42 - an unconventional number. Position and number together are the two things a supporter reads before anything else on a team sheet, and they are also the two things a coach changes most often.

He is the only attacking midfielder listed in the Germany squad on this page, which makes the position his by default. His role has grown with each tournament cycle, and he is now the side's main ball carrier in the final third.
