About Arsenal: history, identity and badge
Arsenal is a football club based in London, playing in the Premier League and founded in 1886.
Founded by workers at the Royal Arsenal in the 1880s, the club grew from a works team into one of English football's most consistent trophy winners.
The modern side is built on positional control, aggressive counter-pressing and a squad with an unusually low average age for a title challenger.

Arsenal colours and heritage
Arsenal is red and white, and it has been for most of the club's life. In a league where identity is everything, that palette is the fastest way to tell one side from another before a name is even visible - a shirt you can recognise from the far end of Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners' red comes from the Woolwich munitions workers who founded the club in 1886 - the nickname and the shirt were handed down together. It is why supporters answer to "The Gunners" as readily as to the club's own name.
Arsenal was founded in 1886. That is 140 years of football, and supporters still call it "The Gunners". Everything the club does now - the way it plays, the ground it fills, the players it trusts - sits on top of it. Across the 4 seasons on record here, from 2022-2023 to 2025-2026, the best finish was 1st in the Premier League (2024-2025).
Trophy lists flatter the sides that collect them quickly. What separates this one is the crowd it draws: Emirates Stadium, a 60,704-seat ground in London. A club that fills that many seats every week has a tradition whether or not the silverware list is long.

Arsenal is a club from London - a city that has never needed one club to be the centre of football conversation. The city is part of the product: a shirt sold here is sold with an accent, a language and a set of expectations that no other market carries.
The home ground is Emirates Stadium, a 60,704-seat stadium, in London. Capacity is the bluntest measurement of a support base, and Arsenal sits at the top of its own range. The club has been in London since 1886, long enough for the ground and the support to feel like the same institution.
A season in the Premier League is played across 20 clubs. The format is Double round-robin, 38 matchdays. That rhythm is what the crowd is actually buying: a weekly appointment, not a one-off event. Right now Arsenal sit top of the table after 8 matches.
The individual version of the same argument is the scoring charts: William Saliba leads them with 22 goals for Arsenal. Clubs build squads around one or two of those numbers, and the rest of the squad exists to serve them. Arsenal's own form line reads W, D, W, W, W. Matchday is where all of it - table, scorers, form - becomes visible.
