Lautaro Martinez is an Argentina footballer who plays as a striker for Inter Milan and has 70 senior caps.
Martinez leads the line for Argentina and has been the side's primary penalty-box presence through its recent title runs.
He combines a high pressing workload with a short link-up game, which lets Argentina play with a narrow forward line.
His international goals are spread across qualifying campaigns and tournament knockouts rather than concentrated in one competition.

The No. 10 shirt
Lautaro Martinez wears No. 10 - the playmaker's shirt. No. 10 is the shirt the crowd looks for first. It belongs to the player the team is built around, and it carries more expectation than any other number on the team sheet.
He wears it at Inter Milan and for Argentina as a striker. 70 caps and 32 international goals on his record so far, on a senior debut in 2018. Numbers do not score goals, but they do tell you what a team expects from the player wearing one.
Colours he wears
Two shirts, two palettes. Inter Milan in blue and black; Argentina in sky blue and white stripes. Weekends he wears one set of colours and international windows the other, and the switch is the part of the job almost nobody sees: same player, same legs, completely different visual language.
Club football is where a colour means home - the ground, the noise, the badge everyone in the stadium is holding. A national team shirt is a badge worn once every few months, in front of a different kind of crowd, and it has to carry a whole country on its own. Martinez has 70 caps and 32 international goals behind that switch.

The name on the shirt
Lautaro Martinez is listed as a striker and carries No. 10 - the playmaker's shirt. Position and number together are the two things a supporter reads before anything else on a team sheet, and they are also the two things a coach changes most often.
He is the only striker listed in the Argentina squad on this page, which makes the position his by default. His international goals are spread across qualifying campaigns and tournament knockouts rather than concentrated in one competition.
